Interesting poll results

This is a Quinnipac poll and while it deals with the usual Obama vs (fill in the GOP candidate) the reason I link this is because it also asks questions like:

Would you be entirely comfortable with a president with the following religion:

Ethnicity, etc.

And I was surprised to learn that both dems and repubs would be more comfortable with a muslim than an atheist president. Mormons finished third from the bottom but kicked the athiests ass pretty hard.

Entirely comfortable with a president with this religion:

a. Evangelical: All 43% Dems 30% Republicans 57%
b. Jewish: All 55% Dems 49% Republicans 60%
c. Catholic: All 60% Dems 57% Republicans 64%
d. Atheist: All 24% Dems 31% Republicans 12%
e. Muslim: All 21% Dem 29% Republican 11%
f. Mormon: All 35% Dem 28% Republican 38%

Interesting that Atheist /Evangelical / Mormon / Muslim poll about the same among Democrats. Republicans are definitely much more polarized
