  • Anyone else blasted by this snow storm?

I made it into work today at about 10:30am. We had about 10" at our place in Virginia. This place is not prepared for a dumping like that.

Upper sixties and sunny here in Outer Mongolia.
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

    Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
    Today is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

    Tomorrow is Saturday
    And Sunday comes afterwards

That's what it was here last week. I wish the weather here would make up it's mind. I feel a chest cold coming on again just when I was over my last one. It's been a lousy winter, especially since I haven't spent a single day boarding.

We got hit with 5 whole inches Sat night/Sun morning. The most they've seen here in 40 years. Church was canceled.

My only complaint was that the snow was building up on my sat dish during the game Sat night, so I had to climb the ladder with a broom to remedy the situation.
        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I will trade you the snow in a heart beat, for the 2'' of ice that we got about a month ago...no power for a little more than a week, no internet for almost 3 weeks, waiting in lines OUTSIDE of the grocery store, National Guard at the gas stations, etc.
          I'm your huckleberry.

I'll keep the snow. It's already melting. BTW, you need to post those pics. They're awesome.

You need to lobby to be Bishop just so you can call ward members on a snowy Sunday and tell them church is not canceled and to get their butts in the pews.

I'm trying. We had both councilors over Saturday evening and the Bishop called. We tried to talk him into cancelling church, but he stayed strong. Then the next morning the Stake Pres called it off for the whole stake. After that a series of phone calls from RS Pres, VTs, HTs, EQP, et al telling us church was cancelled.

I hope you took the opportunity to remind them what snow-wusses they all were.

On the other hand, if church activity was acceptably contingent on all external factors, that could be a good thing.

"Sorry, Bishop. I'm going to have to skip giving that talk tomorrow because conditions are good for nymphing this morning."
