I guess this happened last week, but the Democratic candidate (Kloppenburg) was leading the Republican Wisconsin Supreme Court justice (Prosser) by about 200 votes...until Thursday when the County Clerk of a GOP leaning district realized that she had not added 14k votes coming in from one particular town to the total for her county (supposedly she received the vote numbers but for some reason or other it wasn't added to the computer database). Prosser then leads (wins) by about 7200 votes.
The Dems are pissed. They were loaded for bear, well as much as one could be loaded for bear in a Supreme Court election. But the energized side in a low turnout affair like a SC election will usually win, but they didn't this time. As is usually the case, the Dems are going to litigate this thing but 7,200 votes is just too much to overcome. It's outside the margin of "hey, look at these absentee ballots I just found in this car's trunk!" Al Frankin margin of error.
