Good for them in working it out although they did it in a messy fashion.

Sounds like another CR for a week. At this point they might as well pass a CR until September and start working on 2012. This whole thing is effing ridiculous.

Supposedly they have worked out a deal to go until September. It will take until Thursday to cross the t's and dot the I's.

I just hope the screamers on each side don't go balistic and mess this thing up. Let's save the big fight for when we go after the trillions and not whine about 40 billion vs 60 billion on this deal.

It does seem like they got something done. The posturing over such a small sum of money (relatively) and 6 months of budget was pathetic.

Yes, they save us, the taxpayer, $78.5B while spending nearly $2.2T (including $1.65T which we don't have). One might think that someone won a great victory given all the back-patting that was going tonight. Well, now they can get back to work on creating some new entitlement programs or figuring out who we can start bombing next.
