A large majority of my friends and family are republicans and it’s been one of the major disappointments of my adult life to see how many have been sucked in by the deception of the GOP over the last 5 years.

This is especially cynical and leads me to believe you aren't capable of seeing any nuance in people or believe that your political foes are all the same blob.

Real life isn't social media and real people aren't necessarily attention whores represented in the media. I realize swaths of people are crazy, but people I am close to who I've known for years and follow on social media are able to get together and adjust their outward expressions (even between each other) to deceive me?
