Okay, it's done one thing since Watergate. It's still a waste of trees.

In 2006 the Washington Post broke the in-depth story of Jack Abramoff that led to exposing congressional corruption and lobbying reforms. Sad that you don't think that's a valuable contribution.

Okay, so it's done two things since Watergate. It's still a waste of trees.

For decades the Washington Post covered the Baltimore Orioles and they've assigned beat writers to the team. Your point is well-taken.

I don't use that waste of trees to get my Orioles coverage. Before the internet, I got my updates from my uncle who sent me articles from the Baltimore Sun. Now I go to Orioles.com, which is far superior to the Washington Post.

The iconoclast in me takes a wicked pleasure in the Grahams' humiliation, selling the sacred Washington Post to Bezos. Since Watergate the Grahams have been totally fawned over by the press and the intelligentsia. I've always thought the paper was overrated even when I lived in DC.

There are lots of stories like this. Ideological media sources have very successfully redefined fair and objective journalism as "liberal" media, or biased, or drive-by. It's how they reinforce their ideologies. Again, anything divergent from their very dogmatic and narrow "information" they tell their supporters is biased and can be ignored. No self reflection, no consideration of any differing facts or information. What has happened really is sad.

Tell Graham to see. And tell Merrill to swing away.

And yet you do the exact same thing. Anything divergent from your very dogmatic narrow information you claim is biased and can be ignored. No self reflection. Check. No consideration of any differing facts or information. Check.
