We've had stuff blowing all over the place in Traverse Mountain. I had to run out to my car to get my cell phone, and saw a big blue garbage can flying - as in, in the air - down the street. It was doing a rolling tumble going up in the air 5 or 6 feet before touching the ground again.
It would suck to be hit by a flying garbage can.
We had hail lighting and snow all at the same time. Freaky weather...
I meant to warn you folks that this was coming. About the time I hit Lovelock Nevada on my way home Monday I witnessed some of the most brutal winds I've ever driven in. The resulting sand storm was something to behold and had I not spoken with a few locals who assured me that "these things happen a lot" I think I would have been close to terrified. It went from a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky to looking like evening and visibility reduced to a hundred feet or so.
I hope everyone's alright. I've seen first-hand what that kind of wind can do when it's sustained for 2-4 hours. Just imagine what gusts of 210mph would do.

So we only ended up with a skiff of snow however due to the winds it looked like a blizzard with the same snow swirling around. The winds were clearly headed south as our street is completely iced over as is the south side of my house. When I head east off my street the roads are completely dry.
Good news is we have blue skies today and a balmy 35 degrees!
oh, yeah!?? Well just imagine what 320 mph winds would do!!!
(I understand Soup's son can fill you in on the details if you're interested.)
Those make my insides quiver for the people who might've been there. Truly hell on earth.

I was not buying the snow when it was 60 at noon...guess I was wrong.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I also found it hard to believe as I went for my walk at 1630 - we had 4-5inches on the lawn this morning.
I was almost blown over by the wind a couple of times though - nothing as strong as was going on in Utah county
I may be small, but I'm slow.

The bad news for you is that it's snowing hard here today and we're at 500 ft. I think with the current jet stream you are getting what we have about 2 days later.
