A hammer to the local economy

That's the Rainbow fertilizer plant in my town, right now. It blew up ( my wife heard 5 separate explosions from our house).

Tim, dude check out how close this is to my house. Like 400 yds.

The houses on "H" Street (marked as B) are all on fire right now.

No, not on our side. The other side, it's not so good.

            Yikes! Hope all are okay.

I've counted inventory at fertilizer plants and suffice I to say there are a lot of chemicals in those places. This is a superfund site just waiting to happen.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The scuttlebutt is that everyone got out alive. I don't know about unharmed.

Is there any need to worry about fumes for you and your family? Scary stuff.

No, we're 400 yards upwind. If the wind had shifted.....

Everyone got out alive. It stinks to high heaven around here. The wind shifted and dumped all the smoke back into my side of town. The EPA says that there are no hazardous chemicals in the smoke or air. It smells like all the fireworks in the world went off.
