  • Three Mormons in the Race?

I didn't even know Hatch was running again.

Winners and losers from the Conservative Political Action Conference

    Losers
    ----------
Orrin Hatch: On one hand, the Utah senator's willingness to face down his conservative critics at CPAC is worthy of admiration. On the other, the rocky reception he received could presage problems for him next year as he seeks the nomination. Asked about his vote for the Troubled Assets Relief Program in 2008, Hatch acknowledged that voting for the legislation was "probably" a mistake before pivoting to note that the country would have gone into an economic depression without TARP.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The microscope on the Church has hardly been used yet by the national press. We Mormons need to brace for sunshine--and mudslinging.
We all trust our own unorthodoxies.

Hatch is delusional. I suppose he just can't stand other LDS politicians getting so much attention.

Isn't that talking about the Rep. Nomination for the senate?

It doesn't say presidential nomination in there.

If Hatch runs will he release another campaign album? I can't wait to see what he and JKP have been up to.

Of course hatch isn't running. I doubt he could even come in 2nd in the republican primary in Utah.

Huntsman would have no chance of winning Utah

Mitt Romney would receive the vote of more than twice as many Utahns for president than fellow Republican Jon Huntsman Jr., according to a statewide poll.
I really can't understand the basis of Huntsman's running in 2012.

                  Yeah, that is strange.

I'd imagine it is more to get his name in the ring. There is likely no chance for him getting the nomination in 2012 but the GOP is also a longshot for winning the white house in 2012 so getting a little name recognition now for a real pursuit at the white house in 2016 isn't a bad thing.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
