    So 95% of tax payers will get a tax credit/rebate?

    From what I recall, that would be for those earning over $250K. Now I'm reading that the $400/$800 rebates will not be awarded to those earning over $150K (married couples). I'm really confused.

    And a rebate to those who don't pay ANY taxes? How is that a rebate on something you didn't pay? I'm really confused.

      People that make over 150K a year probably wouldn't spend the rebate. The rebate needs to be spent to do any good. Poor people will spend it.

          This is the sad truth. Bottom line ... we're in this mess because our economy was built on a house of cards called consumer spending (or more appropriately, living beyond your means).

          This is not getting tax rebated or stimulus'd away. Hang on for the ride.

                      They get to vote too! My one ultra right wing artifact still alive and well within my political soul given me from my goodly John Birch Society belonging parents is that I tend to believe we would be better off if folks who don't pay income taxes are not allowed to vote.

                      I also read "Stormship Troopers" and thought it had some great points, the movie included some really voluptuous racks and that was also better for America.
