lol. I was making fun of wuap, who noted that he would fail a class on reticence, and then fittingly launched into a long commentary on intraboard politics, person psychoanalysis, and I'm not sure what all else. I thought it was funny.
I'm sorry you didn't like high school, btw.
yeah, first three years were miserable, but my sr. year was awesome. I'm hoping after three years of hell here, I'll eventually make the cut.
My reaction on a home intruder would probably fall in between Blue Hair and Nikuman. If I could tell the intruder was armed then I'm probably going to shoot first and ask questions later. Otherwise, if I think it doesn't hinder my ability to protect myself/family/property, I would probably try to get the drop on the person, give them a warning, and hope they flee. If they don't flee upon being warned then they run a real risk of being shot. If I do shoot I will not be shooting to wound.
This is an interesting discussion. Years ago I was in riding out a rainstorm in Cancun with a few friends. We had a similar discussion about what would happen if someone invaded your home. None of my three friends felt they could shoot an invader even if the invader's intent was to kill their family. They were quite passionate about this belief.

RS, you'll notice that her critique never says that I'm wrong. She's gonna be mayor.
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon
