I hope you're right about this part. I would gladly trade another Obama term for a robust economy.

        Was that directed at Obama?

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

                Like Gingrich did.

                Actually, I think Mitt's low-profile is a smart move.

That's funny, I didn't even know Newt had converted. I've heard his name thrown around as a potential candidate which sounds like crazy talk to me. Don't get me wrong, I like him well enough. He's an interesting figure and can present some compelling ideas, sometimes off-message from the mainstream GOP. But seriously, the guy is a symbol of political hypocrisy and sleaze. It's like considering Dick Morris as a serious contender.

He's on tomorrow night (Wednesday), not tonight.

Mitt still flip flopping, I see.

Mitt is not electable. He wins these type of polls because he mobilizes star-struck Mormons to participate (I was in Iowa in '08...where he blew a 10-month double-digit lead once a bunch of Born Agains decided that a Mormon president was unacceptable). If Mitt gets the nomination, then you might as well hand Obama a second term.

Even if he could surmount the bias against Mormons, RomneyCare is a dealbreaker.

If it is not a deal breaker for the GOP base, how would it be a deal breaker for the general population?

I believe it will be a dealbreaker for the GOP base. Once Palin, Pawlenty or whomever start harping on it, the Tea Party will abandon Mitt in droves.

I should reverse the order of my last two sentences above. RomneyCare will keep him from getting the nomination, but his religion will keep him out of the oval office.

                                Democrats love Palin...

                                Mission Statement

PrimariesForPalin.com aims to nominate Sarah Palin as the Republican presidential candidate by encouraging Democrats and Independents to purposefully vote for her in state primaries. In head-to-head polls with President Barack Obama, Palin consistently fares worse than other possible Republican candidates because of her divisiveness. If Palin is nominated, Obama has a much better chance of winning reelection in November 2012.
The damn fools might just help Palin get elected as president.
