My son's best friend is on this cruise so we are getting the inside scoop somewhat. They are one of those always happy families and the dad was quoted on the news tonight saying "a bad day cruising is still better than a good day at work". They seem to be having quite the adventure.
Apparently they are getting all of their money back plus a voucher for a free cruise. I'm thinking the adventure would be worth it assuming you could get the time off again. I can't imagine a more legendary vacation than one involving military air drops, spam and pop tarts, cell phone interviews with national and local media and being tugged back to San Diego at 4 mph.
