  • Did you know that Shawn Bradley ran for Utah House Dist. 44?

He ran as a Republican and lost (Dist. 44 is Murray, I believe):

He needed a better mustache if he wanted to win in Murray.

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

He refused to campaign and only organized at the last moment. He probably ran hard for 2 weeks total. He thought his name would get him votes, and it did buy him a lot of votes, but he should have gone to a pro style campaign a lot earlier.

He approached the campaign much like he approached his basketball career -- not much intensity or effort.

This approach toward life is very typical of an Emery Spartan.

At least he had an approach to life. That puts him heads and shoulders above most other Emery Spartans.

Shawn Bradley, still refusing to run hard.

              Looks like nothing has changed.

Speaking of Emery Spartans and politics, my uncle - who coached Bradley at Emery when Bradley was a soph - was elected to the Emery County commission.

Congrats to him. I'm sure he will serve the six families who reside there well
