I saw her interviewed the other morning and I thought she seemed less than credible, althoguh she did cry when asked if she had naything to do with her husband's disappearance.

Yes, especially after hearing about the Mexican authorities worrying about an ambush in the same place. It's certainly plausible. Doesn't mean it's true.

Is it a common thing to go jetskiing in the Rio Grande? Is it common if you know that drug gangs are in the proximity?

The Mexican border (at least the Mexican side) is worse than what was going on in Miami back in the 80s.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

But supposedly just after killing her hubby, the bad guys pull laong side of her, within 10 feet, look at her and then inexplicably let her go. Huh?

Admittedly, I don't know the whole story. I probably shouldn't have commented.

These drug gangs are as brutal as they come. Did anyone hear about that shallow grave of something like 30 people that were murdered all at once by the one of the cartels/gangs? They don't hesitate to kill anyone.

Yes, and the way she describes the shooting is interesting. From her description, there was an expert marksman or a very, very lucky shooter.

There's a witness who saw her hauling ass on her jetski on the American side of the lake and he says she was absolutely hysterical. I'm not sure what to make of that. Someone could be hysterical after killing someone or it could have been a combination of seeing her husband shot and trying to get to safety.

Sounds credible to me. Apparently there are plenty of reports of violence on that lake and we've been telling citizens to avoid the Mexican side for a long time now. Maybe there's something else to the story, like maybe she and her husband witnessed something while they were taking photographs of that old church....
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

A search for a missing American tourist presumably shot and killed by Mexican pirates on a border lake has been thwarted by threats of an ambush from drug gangs, U.S. officials said Thursday.

I would say it passes the smell test. It may yet turn out to be fabricated but it's not so obviously false that it doesn't pass the smell test for now.
