The ads in Texas are getting weirder and weirder on the GOP side. It smells of desperation at this point. One of Trump's most effective ads two years ago was the one where at the end it said "Kamala is for they/them, Trump is for you." The Texas GOP is taking that ad several steps further and it's a bit unsettling. I'm now getting ads of a man putting on heavy makeup (kind like he's a furry or something akin to that) and it says "He made his plan to vote. Did you?" First off, that's not a tag line and if you think it's a tag line it's a horrible tag line. Second, this ad probably speaks to Trumps 60+ year old base, who is going to vote anyway. I'm pretty sure there are some heavy make up wearing dudes that will vote but there aren't many and I bet many of them won't vote for Talarico or Paxton.
I guess I'm just frustrated that Texas is a battleground state as I get flooded with political ads everywhere and I can't wait for the election to be over.
