Wow. I didn't vote for the guy, but that's absolutely my worst fear right now. For many reasons.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

To get an idea of what would happen if Obama were assassinated, take the '92 LA riots, multiply the intensity by 10, and then drop it into every major American city, and lots of not so major ones. It would be the worst crisis we've ever faced.

Agreed, though if it was going to happen, I would have thought it would be during the primaries and carried out by Mrs. Clinton's people.

Idaho is pathetic. The lead story is about some 2nd and 3rd graders supposedly chanting something on a school bus according to one kid's father?

Don't they have any real news to report?

I'd like to hear RC's take on this, as he is a resident there.

Agreed. I remember on the 6th grade bus (in St. George, all 6th graders went to the "6th Grade Center--an entire elementary dedicated to the 6th grade) a whole group of kids chanting "1,2,3,4 drop your panties to the floor 5,6,7,8, everybody masturbate." That's much worse than what these kids chanted, and we didn't make the news.

You know for being the most popular kid in school, varsity football player, Prom king, and Senior class president I can't believe how much trouble you caused. I never knew you ever had detention. How could I not have known that? And for something that I would have been totally disgusted at. I never even had as much as my name on the board in ANY grade *nose in the air*

You know how President Hinckley said he doesn't worry about those who pray? The same can be said for men who are self-aware enough to know when there's a life to be lived outside of the world of video games. - Anonymous

Right after Columbine happened a few goths showed up in trench coats and one kid went around telling everyone that Spanish Fork Highschool was next and "(Cougjunkie)" was the first to go.

Some girls got freaked out and told the assistant principal, she brought me in to her office and told me to not provoke him because he is the type to really do it. I kicked his ass in the parking lot a few weeks later.

About a week ago I saw my old (head) principal at the golf course, he brought up that incident, and told me that I didnt get suspended because they were all secretly hoping I would do it.

My HS girlfriend discovered a teacher and a student (who happened to be Goth) to be having a relationship. Anyway, she reported it to a VP at the school who was a family friend of hers and the teacher was fired after further investigation. She was married and had been sleeping with this student. It was weird too because she began to dress like a Goth. Anyway, the student was distraught and threatened to kill my girlfriend. He was suspended, etc. We broke up after this so I don't have all the details (I was also a year older and at BYU) but a few months later at graduation she was asked to give a speech. As the students marched into the ceremony this kid approached her with a gun I guess. LASD were on the scene and apprehended the kid before anything happened. Crazy.

I don't know who the kids are or who their parents are but I was embarrassed and saddened when I heard of this incident. Their are pockets of bigotry everywhere and Rexburg in no different. I think lack of diversity in the area is one problem but this is slowly changing with the growth of BYU-I. Another problem is, and I think mainly affects the rural areas, are the same families have been living in these areas for four or five generations and they don't get out much. Their great-great-great grandparents were bigots and they just keep passing it down. Rexburg is always under a microscope from the rest of the state because of the heavy LDS population so I hate it when things like this happen.
