I mean, I fully expected a fall from grace. It was all too predictable. And when Ballard stepped down from OUR a couple months back, that was a huge red flag. But this way? And this quickly? Wow.

Also, the Vice story today about OUR's current exec (for now--probably not by tomorrow) just unreal. The guy voluntarily fondling a 16 year old, then trying to pretend it was involuntary, then trying to pretend he thought she was 18 (as if that makes it completely better). Totally despicable behavior. As has been said before, OUR has not lessened the existence of human trafficking, but has likely increased demand for human trafficking through its missions.

I was thinking the same thing. 18 years old or 16 years old, it is still reprehensible.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must be seriously upset about this. Tim Ballard could have said anything or anyone was his inspiration and source of information. But he had to go and claim his organization receives visits from Nephi, and now folks are going to think Mormons are a bunch of people who believe ancient Book of Mormon prophets are providing information and direction to church leaders.

The story about the conversation with the missing boy’s father is seriously sickening. Imagine getting a vulnerable parent’s hopes up, telling them you have information about his son and you’re going to find him, knowing full well you had absolutely zero idea where he was. Unforgivable.
