I would obstain. I don't care enough about the issue to emotionally invest enough to garner an opinion.

I'm just curious to see how this board compares to national opinion.

I get the feeling that the issue resonates with about 40% of the populous nationwide, and for that group, it is a passionate issue. I would guess that of the passionate, 75% are against and 25% in favor.

CUF's general populous is probably in the passionate group given the church involvement in Prop 8. I bet they are split about evenly with half agreeing with the involvement and the other half in opposition of the church's involvement.

I would vote No. However, it is an issue other than stating my opinion, I wouldn't get actively involved in.

I don't like either option. I'm not in favor of gay marriage myself and I'd vote to outlaw it in my state, however, I do think it's a state issue and if another state wants to overturn 6,000 years of tradition then well I guess that's democracy.

However, it is not a civil right to "marry" someone of the same sex so the courts should not be involved in any way. What I fear is that it's imposed on the country by the courts.

I would be in favor of a federal ammendment saying in essence that marriage is a state issue and no state will be required to perform gay marriages/unions or recognize a gay marriage/union from another state.

I haven't voted yet. I am in favor of the legalization of SSM, but I am conservative when it comes to amending the constitution, so I am leaning toward no.
