Open your eyes Tim. We have one in the White House right now. And we elected one in 1976.Originally posted by Tim View PostWell, lucky for all of us we've never had one of those."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

So Lee pulled it off. I'm a bit surprised, though crazy things can happen when voter turnout is only 14.5%.

I heard it also. He also said that he was getting a lot of support from Repubs.
I don't think it is going to make any difference. Lee will win in November.
I may be small, but I'm slow.

Good editorial in the Trib today about the farce the caucus system has become and some good ideas on how to fix it."In conclusion, let me give a shout-out to dirty sex. What a great thing it is" - Northwestcoug

One thing I really don't like about Lee is that he supports Utah being a dumping ground for nuclear waste."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Man, Utah is about to have a U.S. Senator who is in his 30s; who has no real life experience other than being a lawyer; and whose main claim to fame is his well-known and revered late father. The only thing we are sure of is that he'll go back to Washington (where he has already spent much of his life) and stand up for the Constitution.

Who do you like in the symbolic, never-in-doubt round 2, Lee or Granato (he makes a mean sandwich !)?Originally posted by LA Ute View PostMan, Utah is about to have a U.S. Senator who is in his 30s; who has no real life experience other than being a lawyer; and whose main claim to fame is his well-known and revered late father. If Granato will give me a discount on sandwiches for the entire time he's in the Senate, I would consider voting for him.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostWho do you like in the symbolic, never-in-doubt round 2, Lee or Granato (he makes a mean sandwich !)?"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I admit that I've got a dog in the fight, but who better to right laws than somebody who is trained in the field of law? If you needed a quadruple bypass done sometime next week, wouldn't you prefer that a surgeon wield the scalpel instead of a gym instructor?Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostYou make a fair point about the lobbyist, but I'll damn the lawyer in this case.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν
