I found this disappointing: No memorial of D-Day from Obama

Was this tradition equally important to you when other Presidents were skipping it? Because it seems like a lot of people have suddenly "always cared about this" yet have no knowledge of all the previous Presidents that have skipped or delegated Memorial Day ceremonies.

Yes, Bush I had his VP do it and so did Reagan allow his Defense Secretary Thayer to do it in his place (Which I would be equally disappointed in as well). More than usual the POTUS attends and does this simple task. Obama, has gone out of his way to minimize the military and his support to them. Yes he gives great speeches but his actions are a far cry from "We support our soldiers"... imo..

That was you saving face after being informed that Obama's delegation wasn't unusual, along with some vague "he doesn't support the troops" nonsense that you didn't provide a bit of support for.

This is the same thing as what's behind the tea baggers. After being informed by Glenn Beck that they should be pissed about government spending, everyone gets all up-in-arms about Obama's spending. Upon being informed that republicans have historically been the bigger culprits when it comes to deficit spending, with W being the worst of all, they pretend to be outraged by that as well.

It's just plain old partisan hackery; business as usual.

Well, at that time I did not pay attention to politics, I would say I would be disappointed now.. I guess the only way to gauge my true intentions (Or if I am some Foxnews Zombie as Woot loves to portray) would be to see what happens when a Repub President does this...

No I recognize a person who looks to divert comments with the same old crap of hypocricy when he has no other argument and is solely looking to argue for the sake of it..

What is even more hackery is the way you like to input your comments when you are wrong or the truth shines badly upon you or your man.. For example: "Can we stop the tit-for tat" or the "You didn't say that about Bush"..

This thread is based on your assumption that Obama was doing things out of the ordinary. He's not. If you want to present an argument dealing with why you think Obama is disrespecting the troops independent of precedent, feel free. You haven't done that.
