    Bringing back the '80's

I have a limited understanding of the world of fashion, but my observation has been that the terrible clothing styles of the 1980's have been enjoying a come back recently. I find this frustrating.

I don't want to see more terrible and overly-colorful clothing. I want more movies like Top Gun, Red Dawn, and Karate Kid. I want more Twisted Sister, Guns and Roses, and AC/DC.

The end of the Cold War has been more damaging to the United States of America than it has to socialism and communism. These evils are alive and well in our world. What has died is the notion that its ok to kick ass for the right reasons, the notion that to achieve is great and not to be apologized for. We have no collective need to be great anymore. How long before these ideals return to our land? Will they ever return?

Is it too soon to try and remake the original Terminator? or even RoboCop?

They shot scenes for the remake of "Red Dawn" just down the street from my neighborhood last fall.
