Obama has no choice. He can't use harsh interrogation techniques to extract information from a terrorist or he'd be a hypocrite. But authorizing the murder of a US citizen? Nothing wrong with that.Originally posted by camleish View PostObama authorizes the killing of an "American" citizen. Can you imagine the uproar by the liberals and main stream media if this was Bush? They would go hysterical.

And can you imagine the mental gyrations that you would be doing to justify this if GWb would have done the same thing? I can imagine both. And if ifs and buts were candy and nuts it would be Christmas every day.Originally posted by Hallelujah View PostCan you imagine the uproar by the liberals and main stream media if this was Bush? I actually agree with the premise. So what was your point? Better to have one man killed than hundreds and thousands. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then other countries will target our politicians. They do that anyway. And if they don't, it's not because we have/had a policy against it.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostAnd can you imagine the mental gyrations that you would be doing to justify this if GWb would have done the same thing? Just pointing out the hypocrisy...........which apparently you couldn't figure out. But I like the idea of targeted killings of enemies. You ought to jump on board.

My point is that if you led off with-"I agree with Obama on this issue, maybe he is only the anti-Christ on some issues," and then said "I imagine there are many liberals who are either uncomfortable with Obama's reasoning or having to make a lot of intellectual contortions to reconcile their support for Obama with the haranguing that they gave to Bush when he made these types of decisions," or something to that effect then you would not be greeted with the types of comments that you typically are.Originally posted by Hallelujah View PostI actually agree with the premise. As it is your original comment reeks of the same type of hypocrisy that you are decrying by leaving out the fact that you agree with the president at least in part, while your actual thougths are much more nuanced than your original comment would lead others to believe.

You still don't get it. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the media and liberals. So what you are saying is that you are proud to support Barack H. Obama, our President and Commander in Chief, and that you stand behind this decision.Originally posted by Hallelujah View PostYou still don't get it.
