True. I am sure there are plenty of true believers (what else do they know?). But I am sure it also well known that one must behave in a certain way, especially when the cameras are rolling, or there is a risk being sent to a reeducation camp.

Someone at ufn posted these photos. It's a pretty good comparison of the two cars:

So who is following this thing? Is Kim Jong dead or Undead?

In the past few hours, Twitter has exploded with unsubstantiated rumors that the new North Korean dictator died in Beijing today and that a coup is underway in North Korea. All rumor of course, and one that appears to have been started on China’s twitter-like platform Weibo (fyi: here’s the fascinating Google translated page of original Weibo posts). As the story goes, a couple assassins barged into Kim’s room in Beijing and shot him, before being shot and killed themselves by bodyguards.

                  [...]

If Kim is dead, if there is a coup underway in North Korea, it’s likely because after his magnanimous visits to their bases in recent weeks, the army decided that Kim is too much of a softie to keep the North Koreans sealed tighly in their gulag.

It’s worth recalling that just a month ago Kim’s own half-brother Kim Jong-Nam predicted that “The Kim Jong Un regime will not last long.”

If you've had dictators/terrorists in your pool, you've been doing well over the last two years:

Qaudaffi (sp?), Bin Laden, the two Kim Jongs. Soon Hugo Chavez.

                    Look out Castro brothers.

All is well and good until your son/brother/friend is abducted by North Korea.

                            http://english.chosun.com/site/data/...051200352.html

The 24-year-old exchange student [David Sneddon] in Beijing from Brigham Young University was last seen on Aug. 14, 2004 while traveling in China's Yunnan Province.

"We're quite confident that David is alive, quite confident that whatever the mechanism that got him there he is in North Korea," he[his father] said.

                            Full disclosure:
I spent my teenage years growing up with David Sneddon's older siblings in Lincoln, NE. I hometaught the family for a stretch with my Dad. His father set me apart as a missionary. Our parents remain good friends.

David Sneddon was a BYU student who was studying Chinese and pre-law (I think). He planned on entering a JD/MBA program like one of his older brothers. He was a RM; served in South Korea. He went to China during the summer of 2004 and enrolled in a program to better his Chinese language skills before his planned return to BYU to finish his undergraduate. He completed the program in Beijing and then did some sight seeing. He never made it home. And is now thought to have been abducted by North Korean agents.

Did this guy have a brother who was a year or two older than him that went to Germany on his mission?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I think so. The older siblings were closer to my age. Only remember David as a child. But he does have an older brother living in Germany and I think he served his mission there.
