  • The majority of sports fans are Republicans

Take this for what it's worth:

Nothing too earth-shattering, really. Most sports fans in America are middle to upper-class Caucasian males, a segment of the population the GOP has never struggled with. I'm kind of surprised the Olympics are as far to the right as they are, and it's interesting how much of a discrepancy there is between college basketball and the NBA.

Interesting that bull riding and NASCAR are on the Republican side but monster trucks are on the democrat side. That's strange.

Pro wrestling is an interesting little outlier there. I would not have predicted that.

Funny that all the fake sports skew to the Dems. Pro wrasslin', monster trucks and the NBA/WNBA.

I agree, but I've learned not to mess with soccer on message boards. I think more than half my blue stars on Utefans have come from taking good natured jabs at soccer. Some people take grown men running around kicking a little ball very seriously.

What's the worst that could happen? Get poked in the eye with a Capri Sun straw?

And then have citric acid irritate it further from the spray of that orange wedge you just bit into.

I found the Y axis to be more interesting than the X axis.

I like how they have to put (women's golf) after LPGA.

You know your sport is not popular when people don't know the acronym.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
