I would think a better comparison would be Elder Packer or a living LDS Church leader. Have any living ones said anything as crazy as Wright?

I dont think Obama should be judged by rev. wright, but if you want to compare someone to him, wouldnt it have to be President Monson/Hinckley spewing racist propaganda at general conference every year?

I guess you could but it would only be slightly less dumb than quoting Brigham Young.

Perhaps the level of how much dumber it would be is in the eye of the beholder, the fact is the comparison should be present if the goal is to point out the hypocrisy of the dough-dough head mormon. However, and I got a sneaking suscpicion about this one, if the goal is to demonstrate the bat shit crazy stuff Brother Brigham said then I would recommend staying away from Delbert Stapely and going back to brother Brigham!

It is all about what one's goals truly are.
