Unless you are from another planet or never been to a speech of any kind or read a book of any kind I am sure you heard how this man Lost his mother at an early age, Of course that would be devastating. But father was forced to move and he had to work harder than anyone else, failed in business, lost a sister, and a girlfriend. Went to mental hospital with nervous breakdown lost election after election until finally becoming President. Man Abraham Lincoln.

Much folklore about him. However he won many elections or had a higher vote and law school he did become a lawyer, Partner died in his business but did have some succesful business ventures becoming US President pretty succesful particularly when many things he lost there were several people running or it was not direct election.

Snopes debunked his larger than life trials. As for his relationship with his fiance that died and him being in bed 6 months stories like that are a myth agreed on. He did have a few hard times but he did not live much diffrent than his neighbors.

Yes he did quite frequently while on the traveling legal circuit...whether or not he was gay is an entirely different question; to which there has never been any proof, at least that I'm aware of.
