It shows how data gets incrementally transformed, and ends up showing dramatically different trends.

It also shows the rather shocking trend toward picking and choosing what weather stations are actually used to calculate average global temperature - and the trends toward selecting stations that guarantee higher temps...

It sickens me to see that we're making such huge decisions based on data with such shoddy collection techniques and shitty integrity (both data and personal)...

Unfortunately, when something gets politicized, it gets manipulated in order to fit the agenda of the manipulator. Both liberals and conservatives are guilty of this - and in this case, it sure looks like it's the libs that have done the manipulating.
