I'm fine with that. Politicians from humble roots always play that card; it gives them some degree of credibility and often separates them from their opponents. In this case especially so.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostNo, but it did mention that he "put himself through byu." See, that's the reason I'm not going to mention my mission when I run for political office. Too many questions I wouldn't want to answer.Originally posted by YOhio View Postlol! Did he mention any church leadership positions? I wonder if he was AP.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I blame Lincoln for the "I did things without help" attitude that politicians have. What a jerk.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostNo, but it did mention that he "put himself through byu." I put myself through the U - college and law school. Of course, it was one the best bargains I ever got - law school tuition then was $500 a semester. So I guess I can't crow about it too much.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Nope. I've worked on lots of campaigns, though, and seeing what's required of the candidate has made me happy I don't have that desire. I could never get elected anyway.Originally posted by YOhio View PostHave you ever seriously considered a run for office?“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

I didn't know that shaking a gumball machine in order to get two gumballs for the price of one is considered a crime of passion.Originally posted by DU Ute View PostBecause of your crime of passion?"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

I would trust him more if he was never AP because his MP never trusted him.Originally posted by YOhio View Postlol! Did he mention any church leadership positions? I wonder if he was AP.When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.
