I do however feel if this was a republican, President Obama would have not come out and supported that person, and the media and public groups would be crying for action. I'm not sure who open hand slapped the other person first but when those two get together it's like an NBA style confrontation. Which is sad given that I genuinely enjoy Wuap's posts up to the point the Lingo enters the fray.

Robinson is definitely partisan, but everyone should have gone apeshit over that arrest. It was a clear abuse of police power to arrest a person who was yelling at the cops from his own property, when that yelling was not interfering with any official police business. It was an unnecessary revenge strike by an agitated cop who had already accepted that professor Gates was the rightful owner of the property. IPU, if you have any civil libertarian streak at all, you should join Roberts and strongly oppose such abusive use of police power.
