But you understand what she's getting at. In addition to SSI (the SS stands for supplemental security, not social security), many states have their own programs that supplement the federal funds. Some states provide additional funds for those within the autism spectrum, because so many private health insurance programs deny any treatments related to autism. In other states those within the autism spectrum aren't eligible for inclusion at all.

That makes more sense. In Utah we do not have those generous programs. But it makes sense other states would

Have you seen a doctor? You might have caught autism from the kids. You never know...

wow. This is unbelievable. The 'researcher' finally admits - ten years after his vaccine-link findings that not a single researcher has been able to duplicate - that he was paid by attorneys to fabricate the data:
                http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...googlenews_wsj
This has to be one of the most damaging frauds in the history of medical science.

And the admission will not change a single thing about the legal atmosphere or the zealot's trumpeting charge. Where is Jenny McCarthy now?

EXACTLY. That's what I mean about it being so damaging. We will never be able to eradicate this myth. Meanwhile, whooping cough is sweeping through our schools and we've got more cases of measles than in three generations.

So how many children have needlessly died because this researcher's fabricated findings? Maybe the lawyers and this researcher should be changed with manslaughter.

Not to mention how much emotional anguish so many mothers have needlessly suffered by thinking it was their 'fault': "maybe if I hadn't vaccinated little Jenny..."

                          Or at least gross negligence.

My father was in Special Ed for 25 yrs and he is really, really, really disgusted with the whole thing - he agrees with Flash - the guy should be shot!

not to mention all of the research $$$ poured into examining the MMR-Autism link, money that could have been spent looking at other sources/effects of autism.
