It is because I married into it, and honestly the only problem I have with the estate taxes is that they can cause small businesses to be ruined. If the spoiled children or children-in-law don't get a bunch of money on death that's a boo hoo moment.

There are caps on gifting, $13,000 per year per person. Then ther is another gift that can only be done once a lifetime or something. Ask DDD he would know more than I.
