What happens to the Obama Justice Department if...

During the dog and pony show that will undoubtedly be the trial of Kahlid Sheik Mohammed 1) he is somehow acquitted or a mistrial declared - after he already admitted his guilt in the preliminary hearings of the military tribunal? 2) there are terror attacks in NYC by KSM's supporters?

The city will be on elevated alert for terror the entire length of the trial. It's definitely possible that an attack could happen. They'll be pulling out all stops.

The decision to move the trial to a civilian court in NYC is one of the dumbest ever - on so many levels. Allowing this in civilianb court will allow all kinds of secrets to be subpoenaed fir KSM's defense. It will certainly be used as an attack on all-things-Bush - not the least of which the interrogation techniques that got KSM singing like a bird within 2 1/2 minutes. It's clear that the slamming of Bush - and the payoff to the lefties that put Barry in the White House is the primary driver for the decision. But one simply must ask whether Holderbama really cares if the trial provokes an attack? It certainly appears that they are indifferent to that possibility...

One thing's for sure - there will be hell to pay if there is one. This move is ENTIRELY unnecessary.

Sean Hannity couldn't have said it better himself.

I don't know what will happen, but isn't what statman said a possibility? I sure as hell hope it doesn't happen, but there's a better chance of it now than a year ago.

If he had left out the conspiracy theory and not resorted to childish name-calling -- Barry and Holderbama? -- I might have considered what he had to say. It's the same reason I can't listen to the likes of Hannity and Beck. Statman is a smart guy and doesn't need to resort to those tactics.

                Name calling?

Barry is the name he's gone by all his life. Holderbama is a shortening of the Holder AG's Office of the Obama administration. Nothing offensive there either. Until you look at their policies...

And I've never been a Hannity listener - can't stand the guy - and I've not listened to Beck since they switched his show to FM in Salt Lake. I used to hear parts of his show as I cycled through the AM channels (1320 - 1280 - 1160 - 700 - 560) on my drive home, but since he moved he gets no airplay in my car...

                And which conspiracy theory?

And you know that referring to him as Barry is disrespectful. You would rightly be offended if people referred to Thomas S. Monson as Tommie, regardless of what he was called as a child.

And do you really believe this?

You make reasonable points and then lose all credibility with over-the-top assertions like that.

You don't think they've though that the possibility of an attack has been increased by bringing KSM to NYC? How stupid do you think they are? There's no question that it increases the threat of an attack. None.

So why are they doing it? Do they care so little for American lives? It's clear they care more about paying off the Move-on.org's and ACLU's and George Sorros' of the world more than they do the safety of Americans and our ability to fight the war on terror. The political pay-offs are going to happen, regardless of whether it raises the terror threat. What does that tell you about Barry?

Yup. And if you draw the right judge, the whole thing disappears at that point. Nothing after that point is admissible. It's a clusterfuc# waiting to happen. And it could have been prevented.

By military rules, you already have the guy dead to rights. He admitted in the preliminary hearings for the tribunal that he did it, and that he wanted to be executed.

But instead, for political payoff, we spend tens of millions of taxpayer dollars (if not hundreds), disclose in open court the operations of out intelligence gathering agencies, and put the public in NYC at greater danger, and run the risk of actually not finding the piece of filth guilty. Asininity at it's finest...

There you go again. You start off making reasonable points and then you go off on the ACLU and George Sorros. You can't possibly think this is about the ACLU and George Sorros. I refuse to believe that.
