My only complaint was that it seemed to go too long. But it was very funny.

I feel like I want to go into Stewart's parody and discuss exactly what criticisms he has of Beck, but then I get the feeling Stewart himself didn't really have any major points to make with this.

          I'm moving on.

Do you know what parody is? When Frank Caliendo does John Madden he's not trying to make a point.

Sometimes parody is used to comment on someone or something.

There's a hint of this in Stewart's monologue.

              That's all I was saying.

isn't he parodying him and commenting on how Beck goes off on wild, incoherent rants? Why the analysis?

Because JL does not think Beck's rants are wild and incoherent?

Jon Stewart has very hairy hands.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
