  • Horrible news from Fort Hood

I can't shake this pit in my stomach since I heard the news. They go through all that
training to protect our country, only to get murdered by goddamn cowards on base.

My thoughts and prayers are with them.

Weren't any of the troops armed? Or is that against fort rules? Cowards is right. If they didn't want to go, go kill yourself or get a dishonorable discharge. You'll see there's more to the story as to why he shot others. My guess is that his Muslim connections will figure into the story at some point.

As a general rule, you can't carry a firearm on a military installation unless on offical duties. You also have to let the authorities know that you have a firearm.
When I was at Ft Campbell and here at Hill AFB all personal firearms are supposed to be stored in an arms room and not in personal quarters. Of course the authorities don't go looking for them, but if you are caught with one, you are in BIG trouble. With the events of today they might get more serious about personal weapons.

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."
