  • Earth Erotics: Going 'Green' in the Bedroom

I'm not sure "going" and "green" as they relate to sex are the wisest imagery to use in discussing this story, but that won't stop Time. (I'm stretching)

    Some points FTA:

    1. Women are using the Rhythm Method to avoid putting birth control chemicals into their bodies and into the environment.

    2. Condoms are now available for vegans. They replace the dairy protein in latex with cocoa powder, but according to the article's author, Kathleen Kingsbury, they don't taste like chocolate.

    3. There are now organic lubricants that don't use a petroleum base.

    4. You can warm up sex toys in the microwave vs. using batteries.

    5. There are hand-cranked vibrators ().

    6. Have fewer kids to protect the environment.

That last one is problematic, given the multiply and replenish the Earth commandment still being in force.

I didn't know they still had petroleum base. I thought they were all water based now for health reasons, not environmental reasons.

      I really don't know though.

You're probably right. I was just trying to pad the points so it didn't look like I was gleefully talking about the other ones.
