I'm not usually sensitive to such things, but the wholr missionary/member of the church thing, to me, is irrelevant and salacious. What were the other three guys about to do? Go have a sandwich? What organizations do they belong to?

I cant say i like it, but the relevance (although remote) is that it is even MORE shocking when you take into account that he was planning on being a missionary, or a man of god. If one of the killers was in a catholic seminary, you can bet the lead would have included reference to the seminary student. It's one thing if a local burn out ends up being a murderer. It's altogether different if the killer is one of those nice boys on bikes. Its almost a compliment; people expect Mormons to be good, not to be killers.PLesa excuse the tpyos.Comment

I take it as a compliment when the media brings up stuff like: "he did this and he is Mormon" because it is a reflection that Mormon's are generally good people and it is out of the ordinary for someone of his background to do something like this.Comment
