    Mackenzie Phillips lies

My wife and mom just got me to watch the Oprah interview with them on the DVR. Her little story about Mick Jagger having sex with her and saying, "I've been waiting for this since you were ten years old," and then her saying "No, this isn't about pedophilia; I was 18" is a bunch of lies. Her body language was all wrong; I won't be shocked if there is a defamation of character lawsuit against her over this.

As far as her dad goes, maybe it happened, but again, I don't think I believe her---I can't believe that no one else wouldn't have seen what was going on in a consensual incest relationship over the course of 10 years. Junkies lie. I was believing her until she started telling the Mick Jagger part of her story. No way.

I was not inclined to believe it until her sisters chimed in that this was something they had known about for a long time, that adds a lot of credibility to me. Of course, as Michelle says, McKenzie has had a needle up her arm for the last 35 years.

Really? I believed her about her father. And it sounds as though some of her family and other band mates in the Mamas and Papas knew about it (Friday's Oprah live confirmed this). And I think she was smart in admitting that it was a consensual relationship, though it was wrong. I don't give a crap about the Mick Jagger story, who knows, but I don't think if the Mick Jagger thing is a lie that that means that her admissions about her and her father were lies as well. She was/is an addict, but coming from a family of them myself, I don't think that means they are all liars. This is just my experience though.

Dr. Drew agrees with you; I'm still doubtful; her body language was all wrong for me.

Dude, it was against my will, and I finally walked out saying, "There's no way Mick Jagger had sex with her; she's full of <redacted.>"

So would Mick Jagger see this as defamation or a step above the usual character refernce?

What makes you think Mick Jagger would not do something like this?

As long as it was coerced, I am willing to forgive. Please promise that you'll stay strong and never allow this to happen again.

I'll bet Mick Jagger doesn't remember having sex with her.

I doubt it as she's been telling that story publicly for years.

Precisely because it didn't happen. The line "I've been waiting for this since you were ten years old" is the part that made me stand up and walk out. There's no way.

I believe the Jagger/Phillips encounter happened on that plane ride that Elder Gene Cook was on also and this is why he felt like he was sitting by the devil.
