    Running Gear

    Ok...now that the fall weather is immenent....any of you have any recommendations for light running jackets?

    I'm thinking of this:

    Anyone own this jacket or have any recommendations?

    Borg - let me preface my comments by saying I am a cheapskate when it comes to running gear, so take it for what it's worth.

    I wouldn't spend that much on a running jacket. The exact same jacket, minus the Asics logo and with a C9 or Starter logo in it's place, will cost you 1/3 the price at Target or Walmart.

    Also, you can find great deals on brand name running apparel at TJ Maxx, if you MUST have the big brand name stuff. I scored this Asics jacket at TJ Maxx the other day for $14.



    I have never noticed a significant difference between C9/Starter stuff and Nike/Asics gear, at least not enough to justify paying that much more. I run in Starter tech shirts that cost me $3 apiece.

      Borg, I don't have much helpful to say about that jacket, other than it looks nice and is probably a very nice piece. Like TDB, I'm also a big cheapskate when it comes to running clothes, and could probably swap some good bargain basement stories with him.

      I also rarely have weather here that would justify wearing anything more than an undershirt and long sleeve performance T-shirt.
