  • Hey Race Runners

Disneyland sent me my race prep docs today which included instructions for a timing device I have not seen before. Are any of you familiar with this?

PS, I am super stoked that we are running through The Big A again, after a year off!

It's the Chronotrack system. I got my handbook from NYC the other day and they're using the same system. I think it will become the standard soon. It eliminates the need to have volunteers cutting the timing chip from your shoe at the finish.

It sure seems picky on how it needs to sit on your foot. I wonder if there will be some timing errors because of that?

I've used it twice. It works well. Nothing to worry about. Just loop it around your laces and you are good to go.

I've used it too. It was no big deal.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

thanks everyone. Sounds like they are making a bigger deal about the positioning than is needed.
