I'm a creature of habit for breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast almost always consists of 2 bowls of cereal and a glass of orange juice.
Lunch is a PB&J (crunchy PB of course), an apple and some crackers or a granola bar.
Dinner is a good variety of mostly healthy food, as long as I'm not cooking it. Lots of chicken and pasta dishes, with fish about once a week.
I always leave room for at least one piece of chocolate a day, and tend to have a bowl of ice cream or some cookies once or twice a week.

Great minds think alike. I love bananas. Ice cream in the AM? That's genius.Originally posted by Babs View PostThat is too freaky. That's my exact diet, even down to the cashews over peanuts. Only difference is I eat a banana with my cereal and I eat ice cream every day instead of every-other day, but before the kids get up instead of after they go to bed. Oh, and I can't stand slim-fast. I drink green or white tea most of the day."More crazy people to Provo go than to any other town in the state."

Creamy peanut butter is good for a starter peanut butter.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI hate crunchy PB. Give me some Adam's creamy. Although when stated like that it doesn't really sound like something I would want.

I do not know how you live on that diet. I would wither and die.Originally posted by Solon View PostEasy for me to write up. I eat almost the same thing every day.
Breakfast: bowl of cereal.
Lunch: peanut butter sandwich and an apple.
Snack: carrots or nuts (I love cashews). If I'm going to exercise, I drink a slim-fast.
Dinner: varies, but always a vegetable and almost always chicken or pasta.
On lucky days, we have chicken and pasta.
Ice cream three or four times a week after the kid goes to bed.
Where I get in trouble is when I'm away from home - vacation, conferences, etc. It's hard to eat well on the road even if you just order "salads."
I follow the Zone diet. Works great for me. It's a little complex but once you master it, pretty easy to follow. No human can folow it exactly all the time, but when I see I've gained 5 lbs. or so, the Zone is an easy way to get back in shape. It's also very healthy. My cholesterol level are really great (which may be more heredity than anything else) and I feel great when I follow the Zone guidelines.
For those unfamiliar, the Zone basically manages insulin levels by assuring the right proportion in every meal of lean proteins, "good" carbohydrates, and (preferably) monounsaturated fats. Works for me.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

It's all about protein and good carbs.
breakfast is oatmeal - unsweetened w/ fruit or a little bit of brown sugar, and if not oatmeal, a chocolate protein shake or bar.
lunch - pbj on whole wheat bread
afternoon snack is usually peanut m&m's (my bad)...
dinner - salad and either salmon or chicken - pasta sometimes, and other times i just have another protein shake - eas whey protein powder w/ ice and skim milk and a tablespoon of peanut butter... it is suprisingly good!
late night snack... as a chubby man, i had to have my ice cream. now i have sugar free fudgecicles... they aer 40 calories each and actually really good!
