  • I need to eat better. My diet is atrocious.

I eat way to much sodium (but hey, I counteract my sodium by eating a banana on occasion!), too few fruits and vegetables. I need to be better. Inspire me!

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Hey, what do you think this is, the diet and workout thread? Take this crap out of here!

joke fail. I hijacked the thread and you were putting it back on track. Carry on.

                • Cutting down on the candy and twenty minutes a day on the rower seems to be helping. I'm still biking and hitting the gym but I'm really enjoying this rower, it's a hard workout but nothing has ever strengthened my core like this is doing.

                  • I'm now down 50 pounds in 7 months. My original goal was 60 pounds, but for some reason the mental side kicked in, and I'm on cruise control with a new lifestyle of eating, and theres no reason to change what I'm doing - ever. I just might keep running, like Forest Gump.

That's awesome! I am trying to find a lifestyle mod I like. I think I like a low cal shack for breakfast, a very controlled snack style lunch and eating whatever for dinner, but I keep falling off that plan too.

I am on and off again. Eating bad for a couple of days packs on so much weight now that it's not worth is. I am only down 30/55 lbs in 6 months. I was originally shooting for the end of April, but that is probably not happening at my current rate.

What are the life syle mods you have made that are working for you with the diet?

Prepare my own food, and eat while I watch TV. My wife quit cooking family meals and I think breaking the tradition of Dad coming home and the obligation of eating large portions of the wifes efforts has helped a lot. Another big hurdle was being on the road. I used to eat out 4 times a week by myself. Now I just go to McD's and get 2 double cheeseburgers and only eat the meat. With that control mechanism in place, that's probably my biggest area of improvement. By doing those things, I've lost 2-3 pounds a week since Sept. And it's not that hard, or even the least bit painful.

You've got me invested in this story. Going to need a justice fulfilled confirmation report, and quarterly updates.

I can't argue with the results. I should proabably cook dinner more. I have been on the road at least 5 days a week for a while now. I have a hard time eating well on the road, so I am happy to be getting on the right path somewhat.
