That's the question I live with every day. Eat the tasty food or get in shape for the wedding? It's a constant quandary I tell you.Originally posted by RC Vikings View Posthttp://www.livestrong.com/slideshow/..._campaign=0612
I need to figure out if I want a short life with the pleasures of sugar or a long life without. I love sugary stuff. Not that, sickos.

I love ice cream, chocolate and chocolate chip cookies, and I'm willing to give up a year or two out of 90 if it means I can enjoy them occasionally. Only one or two, one might ask? I think I'm reducing the risk substantially by a lot of exercise. At my annual physical last month, I confessed to my doc that I enjoy red meat, a heaping bowl or two of ice cream a week, and anything containing dark chocolate and nuts. I asked him if he wanted to rebuke me and change my diet. He said every blood test result (there were about 20) was right in the sweet (ha!) spot, and that if I kept doing what I was doing he had no problem at all with my food indulgences. Ben & Jerry's, Godiva and cowboy can all sleep well tonight knowing their income stream should continue unabated.

I really wonder if there is food in Heaven. And Golf.
I'd rather die a year sooner than eat like a twig. Not saying to go crazy, but I do like a bowl of ice cream on my Sunday night show of the moment.
