If you've had one (or many), I'd love to hear your positive and negative insights regarding your experiences getting your colon cleansed. I have my first colon hydrotherapy appointment next Monday after years of wanting to get it done, so I'm looking forward to it. I'd like to temper my expectations, though, if any of you have had bad experiences. Mostly I'm interested in the toxin cleanup and general cleansing properties.
Let's talk about colonics

Just let us know if everything comes out alright."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

With my recently acquired expertise on things alimentary, it's strong understanding that colonics are not only unhelpful in most instances, they can do more harm than good (disrupting normal peristalsis). Except for rare cases involving things like Hirschsprung's disease (too bad for Elvis), the colon doesn't need any help in cleansing itself, and while the sense of well-being that comes from getting flushed out is undeniable, such glory is fleeting (ha!). I'll defer to those who have actually been trained in the area, but the idea that toxins are building up in most colons is, I'm told, a fiction.
P.S. My last experience with such things was when I was probably around six. My mother thought enemas were the proper treatment for constipation and she seemed to administer them a bit too zealously.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Do they clean out all the good digestive microbes? If so, Tim, you end up eating someone else's poop to get them back.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostWith my recently acquired expertise on things alimentary, it's strong understanding that colonics are not only unhelpful in most instances, they can do more harm than good (disrupting normal peristalsis). Something to think about.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
