I've had great results from physical therapy. I can't say therapy for my back this last go around has helped much.

My back's been much better since consulting with my physical therapist. I do stretches every morning that keep my back limber and it helped improve my quality of life. I admit though it usually felt better after leaving his office.

Well, I can't take NSAIDs since I had weight-loss surgery, so I've got four options for pain relief:

        1. Tylenol (not effective at all by itself)
        2. Opioids (incredibly effective, but hard to get for chronic pain)
        3. Alcohol (not effective, deleterious effects otherwise, but easily obtained)
        4. Gabapentin (at high dosages it makes me feel stupid. I can't think straight or remember anything; those are bad qualities for a teacher to have).

So, physical therapy is what my family doctor and back doctor have asked me to do. I haven't asked for opioids since August, but I've needed them often since then. Being in pain all the damned time just sucks.

I wonder if medical marijuana would help.

Thanks, man. But, it's pales beside what you and yours have to endure. I've honestly thought of yall at times when it really sucks.

Reflux from hell and multiple doctors telling me of ulcer and gastritis risk.

Personally, I don't typically have to deal with much physical pain. And when I do, there are plenty of effective ways for me to treat it. So, if it helps, whenever your pain is flaring up, feel free to think and/or say, "Damn that Pelado and his rare exposure to very treatable pain"!
