    Homemade Cough Remedy

    I'm coughing like mad from bronchitis. My physician's office never got back to me today about some cough syrup. OTC stuff's not working at all. My wife and I are currently debating whether a hot toddy would be kosher for a cough, or just a mixed drink.

      Doesn't NyQuil have a shit load of ethanol in it?

      Why is it considered any different than a hot toddy?

      Take some pseudaphedrine and cough medicine and chase it with the hot toddy and rest easy.

      IMO.

      Which is, admittedly, coming from a heretic.

          No alcohol for me. I haven't had a drink since 1990, and I don't think I'll start now, even for medicinal purposes. I let the water run full bore in the sink, ppiping hot, and I inhaled the steam for about 10 minutes, that calmed down whatever was making me cough the worst.
