  • Anyone Tried The South Beach Diet?

My Sister is currently doing it. The Doctor told her that with our family history of High Blood Pressure and Type 2 Diabetes that it's the best diet out there for that kind of thing.

    Anyone ever tried it?

The no bread for 2 weeks thing would kill me, but I'm thinking of giving it a go.

I have a few old friends who really lost weight and kept it off with that diet. And this blog is filled with awesome recipes (I use them all the time even though I am not on south beach diet) for the Southbeach diet. Even if you don't do it, you should pass this blog along to your sister (if she doesn't know about it already). I have tried a few recipes and they were great!

You know how President Hinckley said he doesn't worry about those who pray? The same can be said for men who are self-aware enough to know when there's a life to be lived outside of the world of video games. - Anonymous

I lost 70 lbs in 7 months the first time I did it.....then Katrina hit, and I'm a stress eater. I tried to do it again in November, but my gallbladder gave out on me, so I can do it until it gets taken out.

I think South Beach is healthy and not boring and the best diet I've ever done.

UtahDan has done it successfully a few times, he'd be a good resource for it.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Sorry, but this made me chuckle. How successful can it be if he's done it a few times?

I know nothing of the diet. Is it like a two week deal?
