  • 2013 Resolutions

As a follow on from last year's thread. What are your 2013 resolutions/goals?

    My goals/resolutions:
    - Run a sub-30 minute 5k.
    - Run at least a 5k every month.
    - Run 4 10ks.
    - Run a half-marathon.
    - BMI <25 and/or weight under 170.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
    - Howard Aiken

Any sufficiently complicated platform contains an ad hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of a functional programming language.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I am going to run 3 half marathon's this year. I ran one last year, and have a good base from my efforts this year to train. First one is in April at Thanksgiving Point.

I'd like to lose 45 pounds this year and get down to 230. I lost 45 this year to get down to 275. It's been a lot of fun to be able to get in to 38 waist jeans this year. It's been nice to be able to buy some XLT shirts instead of XXXL. Being fat has been my life's story and I am finally determined to have it be different.
Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

I hadn't thought of a total mileage goal for running, but that's a good goal to have.

I'm going to add 365 miles to my list of goals. I have no baseline to go on, but I figure a mile a day is probably a good start, and it's about 3x what I ran in 2012.
