Has anyone ever replaced a treadmill belt before? I'm trying to decide between:
a) buying the $100 belt and replacing it myself.
b) buying the belt and hiring a repairman to do it right.
c) telling the treadmill to kiss my ass and doing my running outdoors, come hell, highwater, or sub-zero temperatures.
The treadmill is pretty old and is a cheap model - not easy to find used or discounted parts. I have to go to the phone number on the back of the manual. It's been good enough for our needs, but I'm not sure I want to sink another $100 into it. When I move outta here in 12-18 months (insha'Allah) it's not coming with.
But if my wife wants it repaired, how hard would it be to do myself? I'm not da Vinci or Lebowski, but I can get around a tool box. I don't do electricity, though.
