    A VCR fell on my head

    So I was getting a box down from a shelf when seemingly out of nowhere a VCR came flying into my head. Why the hell we still have the stupid thing around, I don't know but point is, it feel three feet onto my head.

    I have a bump and some mild bleeding on my scalp. My head hurts, but I'm not disoriented, dizzy, nauseated, pupils are same size, and I'm not experiencing blurry vision. It happened about 30 minutes ago.

    Do I need to rush to the hospital? My scalp shouldn't need stitches, and I've had a concussion before and this feels nothing like it.

        The only reason to go to the ER is if you think you have intracranial bleeding. The chance of that happening in someone your age with that sort of mechanism (not saying it doesn't hurt... ) are right around zero. Stay home.

        (I'm assuming you're not on blood thinners?)

        Re: a concussion--Not really much to do even if it is, other than not put you back into a football game. Or cleaning a basement room that has precariously placed VCRs.
        At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

            Not on blood thinners though I did make the mistake of popping a couple of ibuprofen in my dazed state. I wasn't aware at the time that ibuprofen is an issue in case of bleeding.

                Meh...you're right, but ibuprofen wouldn't cause a problem here.
